Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Epping that is seeking a talented Senior Accounts Assistant to join its friendly and professional team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT-qualified professional or an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidate who enjoys a broad accounting role and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients.

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Managing bookkeeping duties accurately and efficiently
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Supporting clients with accounting queries and day-to-day financial matters
• Assisting with financial reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Maintaining accurate accounting records and financial documentation
• Building positive and professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Supporting continuous process improvements within the practice

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing statutory accounts
• Strong bookkeeping and VAT knowledge
• Experience producing management accounts
• AAT qualification or equivalent accounting qualification, or substantial QBE experience
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good communication and client relationship management abilities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
• A proactive and collaborative approach to work
