About

the role

As a Teacher at Lift Schools, you will help create a positive learning space where all students feel supported and encouraged. You will plan engaging lessons, give helpful feedback and work alongside colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support each student's progress. This role is about making learning meaningful and helping young people reach their potential.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and teach engaging lessons with clear learning goals, adapting your approach to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND or EAL
  • Use teaching strategies that spark curiosity, build understanding and respond to gaps in learning
  • Give regular verbal and written feedback that helps students reflect on their progress
  • Build a calm, inclusive classroom through clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
  • Work closely with colleagues and support staff to share ideas and create the best outcomes for students
We are looking for someone who

You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and Qualified Teacher Status. You will have good IT skills and a strong understanding of your subject and the curriculum. You will know how to assess student progress and use that information to guide your teaching.

We also value patience, empathy and the ability to adapt quickly to meet different needs in the classroom. You will be open to feedback, keen to develop your practice and ready to work as part of a supportive team. Does this sound like you?
