We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our technical team and support the design, development and modification of our fleet of mobile healthcare units.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong AutoCAD and Solid Works skills, a good understanding of MEP systems
, and the ability to turn technical requirements into practical, compliant design solutions.
- Producing and updating 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Solid Works
- Developing structural and MEP design solutions for our mobile healthcare units
- Preparing manufacturing drawings, layouts, schematics and technical documentation
- Supporting designs for ventilation, water systems, medical gases, electrical installations and other MEP services
- Contributing to design reviews and ensuring designs meet relevant healthcare standards
- Working closely with Engineering, Operations and Project teams to solve technical challenges and deliver practical solutions
- Supporting design records, drawing registers and change control
You’ll have:
- Experience as a Design Engineer
- Strong AutoCAD and Solid Works capability
- A good understanding of MEP systems, particularly electrical, ventilation, plumbing.
- An engineering background in mechanical, building services, manufacturing or a related discipline
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively as part of a wider team
- A solutions mindset and ability to self-start, being able to work independently on projects to a high standard
Experience with in healthcare, modular buildings, mobile units or another regulated environment would be an advantage, as would knowledge of HTM guidance, manufacturing processes or vehicle/coach-building structures.
