Coding Clerk

Great Bentley Surgery are looking to recruit a clinical coder to join our friendly team. This part‑time position is for approximately 15 hours per week, working all day on a Monday and Wednesday. The successful candidate will also be required to assist with cover for annual leave and sickness.

This post would be ideal for a person with healthcare experience who wishes to develop their coding skills. We would welcome applications from organised, adaptable and friendly individuals who are keen to help us provide high levels of customer service.

• Coding and scanning all incoming patient correspondence as part of the documents management process.
• Updating the EMIS web system.

• Excellent IT, time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, as well as independently.
• Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues. All applicants should ensure that they live within reasonable commuting distance.
• Primary care experience is desirable but not essential.
