Overview
Associate Director of The Renaissance Choir at Bethel University of Tennessee.
Reports to:
Executive Director of Renaissance.
- Collaborate with the Renaissance Choir Director to accomplish daily activities and the success of the Renaissance Choir, including recruiting efforts.
- Teach vocal parts and arrangements; maintain knowledge of music theory and sight reading.
- Maintain and manage the music library for the Choir and keep accurate student records (tardies, absences, missed performances, etc.).
- Supervise large groups during rehearsals, activities, concerts, and travel; conduct rehearsals in the absence of a director.
- Travel as required with weekend flexibility.
- Perform related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
- High School Diploma
- 5 years of professional or educational experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a music-related field
- 5+ years of professional or educational experience
Work requires standing, bending, lifting, stooping, or light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and frequent walking; or moderate physical exertion (up to 50 pounds) on an intermittent basis (not a routine part of the job).
Environmental ConditionsWork is performed under normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
