Adjunct faculty to teach college level courses in the following areas:
- ASTR 1010 – Solar System Astronomy
- ASTR 1020 – Stars and Galaxies Astronomy
Teaching students on-ground lecture courses.
Minimum QualificationsCandidates qualifying to teach Astronomy courses must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields (Astronomy or Physics) from a regionally accredited institution.
Candidates qualifying to teach Astronomy must have work experience in Astronomy.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience teaching lecture desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.
Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.
