johnson service group (jsg) is a tier 1 vendor for the tennessee valley authority (tva), and we are recruiting for an experienced civil design engineer for a 12‑month contract assignment supporting the watts bar nuclear plant in spring city, tn.

• w2 hourly pay rate: up to $80.00/hour
• target start date: 11/10/25
• duration: 12 months

u.s. Citizenship is required.

local or regional candidates highly preferred.

• develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects.
• assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation tests, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable.
• performs as a staff advisor and consultant to a technical specialty, a type of facility or equipment, or a program function.
• applies intensive and diversified knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.
• make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represent the organization in conferences to receive important questions and to plan and coordinate work.
• requires the use of advanced techniques and the modifications and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of the field and related sciences and disciplines.

• bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in the field of nuclear power generation preferred.
• previous experience with tva nuclear facilities highly preferred.
