Electrical & Instrumentation Field Coordinator

Overview

Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Field Specialist at Hargrove Engineers & Constructors. This is a long-term, full-time role performing construction coordination for small to moderate projects at an industrial facility in New Johnsonville, TN.

• Ability to multi-task in support of commissioning document development for multiple projects.
• Knowledge of various types of process instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, valves and analytical), MCCs, motors and controls related to commissioning requirements.
• Knowledge of instrument calibration practices.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Ensure equipment is tested according to design specifications and industry standards.
• Interpret company Engineering Practices and integrate them into commissioning plans.
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues or discrepancies during the commissioning process, collaborating with relevant parties to find solutions.
• Effectively communicate progress, status updates, and any issues to project team members.
• Assist in estimating resource and schedule requirements for commissioning activities.
• Understand engineering principles and relevant industry standards.
• Familiarity with construction activities and practices.
• Experience performing and documenting Factory Acceptance Tests for OEM equipment.
• Interface effectively with all levels of a project team from management and engineering to maintenance and construction.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
• Licensing: No licensing required for this position.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

• Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
• Comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
• Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
