The Scenic Lift Attendant is a full-time, seasonal position at the Gatlinburg Sky Park. The Scenic Lift Attendant is responsible for safely operating the scenic chairlift and helping transport guests up and down the mountain. Job Summary: As a Lift Attendant you are responsible for welcoming customers by greeting them and offering them assistance, safely loading and unloading guests from the Sky Lift Chairs. Promoting safety procedures and making decisions concerning guests safety while exhibiting excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):

• Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager
• Assisting guests on and off the scenic chairlift safely
• Starting, stopping and adjusting speed of lifts
• Ensuring they are safely seated and using safety bars
• Keeping terminal area clean and orderly
• Promoting safety procedures at all times
• Performing maintenance terminal areas and other areas as needed
• Assisting in daily lift inspections and preparation
• Providing resort information for guests
• Other tasks as assigned by Shift Supervisor
• Must work your scheduled shift and follow uniform policy procedures
• Attend required trainings/meetings
• Perform any end-of-shift cleanup tasks or closing tasks as related to your shift

Required Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old
• Achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• You are available to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and can be flexible with schedule changes.
• You must have reliable transportation
• Follow all safety procedures and precautions for this position.
• Must be competent in all Evac procedures through trainings
• Must adhere to policies and procedures in the GSLP Handbook

Preferred Qualifications

• You enjoy working outside in various weather conditions
• You enjoy customer service positions while helping and interacting with guests
• Previous experience in chairlift operations

Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

• This is an outdoor position with exposure to the elements at times.

This position is a full-time, year-round day or night and weekend position. Overtime may or may not be available.
