The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficient operations in tram and curb control activities. The Tram Conductor is responsible for all aspects of assigned areas, including safety, friendliness, cleanliness, and line speed.

• Greets guests and initiates friendly interaction, providing guest excellence that exceeds expectations.
• Effectively uses empowerment to ensure Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented.
• Reacts calmly and quickly in stressful or emergency situations and physically assists guests throughout the area as required.
• Effectively performs as Tram Conductor, including:
  • Visually observing trailing cars on multi‑unit conveyances for potential safety hazards.
  • Visually observing guest actions during operation to prevent safety hazards.
  • Communicating calmly, clearly and professionally with Tram Conductor or Lot Attendants.
  • Communicating safety rules and scripted festival or park information in a manner consistent with Dollywood’s values and mission.
• Completes daily written reports and turns in any necessary paperwork to Parking PIC.
• Works each position in all weather conditions.
• Maintains a sense of urgency toward area of operation to reduce guest wait time.
• Uses time productively, sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones, and similar tasks.
• Assists with other parking areas as needed or requested by management.
• Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood.
• Performs special projects as directed by management.
• Attends all required training classes and meetings.
• Complies with safety and security directives, policies, and procedures to ensure host and guest safety at all times.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Follows all safety standards, reporting any violations.

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Basic computer skills.
• May be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home state.
• Must successfully complete a pre‑employment offer, background check including motor vehicle and drug screen.

• Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and employees.

• Operates or drives a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Meets the physical demands of the job, including manual dexterity, lifting 50 lbs, sitting, standing, or walking for long periods, and working in a small, confined area.
• Can learn additional ticketing system functions.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required for:
  • Ride operators on high‑thrill attractions.
  • Any activity involving a motor vehicle, including trams and shuttles.
  • Drive vehicles operated exclusively on rails or work on lift hills in training, operations, or evacuations.
