Responsibilities
  • Greets guests and initiates friendly interaction, provides guest excellence, and answers questions or provides park information.
  • Ensures Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented.
  • Accurately sells parking tickets and processes online sales.
  • Efficiently processes cash and credit card transactions in accordance with accounting procedures.
  • Provides directions to meet guest needs for refunds, exchanges, and other special needs.
  • Manages cash funds, deposits, and credit card balancing to ensure all revenue is collected and balanced daily.
  • Promotes the value of Preferred and Valet Parking.
  • Facilitates traffic flow to ensure smooth and consistent traffic in assigned areas.
  • Completes daily written reports and submits any necessary paperwork to Cash Office.
  • Operates vehicles and performs work duties in all weather conditions.
  • Maintains a sense of urgency toward area of operation to reduce guest wait time.
  • Uses time productively by sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones, and other similar tasks.
  • Assists with other parking area responsibilities as needed or requested by Management.
  • Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood.
  • Performs special projects as directed by Management.
  • Attends all required training classes and meetings.
  • Complies with safety and security directives, policies, and procedures to ensure host and guest safety at all times.
  • Reacts calmly and quickly in stressful or emergency situations and physically assists guests throughout the area as required.
  • Visually observes guest actions to prevent safety hazards.
  • Initiates friendly interaction with guests.
  • Works varying hours and duties across different areas when needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  • Follows all safety standards and reports any violation.

Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 14 years of age.
  • Ability to operate Ticket Sales System, scanners, phone equipment, and mobile payment processors.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment background check including drug screen.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
  • Willing to constantly improve.
  • Maintain professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Friendly, outgoing, polite, courteous, honest, dependable, mature, and positive attitude.
  • Promote and support a team environment by cooperating and helping coworkers.
  • Adapt quickly to changes and tolerate fast‑paced, hectic environments.
  • Sensitive to the needs of guests and feel empowered to meet them within company guidelines.
  • Remain attentive and alert; excellent verbal communication.
  • Display and live out Lead with Love principles—patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated.
  • Manual dexterity required for job duties; able to work in a small, confined area; able to push and pull; bend at waist and knees; lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Accepts work in all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Can work cooperatively with others, comprehends instructions, retains information, and is willing to learn additional ticketing system functions.
  • Can operate a fire extinguisher and tolerate detergents and chemicals.
  • Flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities; maintain dependable attendance and flexibility with assigned schedules including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must provide two weeks’ notice for requested days off and have all schedule changes approved by leadership.
  • Accepts other work functions as assigned.
