Summary of

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Greets guests and initiates friendly interaction, providing guest excellence that exceeds expectations.
  • Ensures Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented through empowerment.
  • React calmly and quickly in stressful or emergency situations, providing physical assistance to guests as required.
  • Effectively performs in the role of Tram Conductor to include (but not limited to):
    • Visually observes trailing cars on multi‑unit conveyances for potential safety hazards.
    • Observes guest actions during operation to prevent safety hazards.
    • Communicates calmly, clearly and professionally with Tram Conductor/Lot Attendants.
    • Communicates safety rules and scripted park information consistently with Dollywood values.
  • Completes daily written reports and turns in paperwork to Parking PIC.
  • Works all positions in all weather conditions.
  • Maintains urgency to reduce guest wait time.
  • Uses time productively with housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones.
  • Assists with other parking areas as needed/requested by Management.
  • Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood.
  • Performs special projects as directed by Management.
  • Attends all required training classes and meetings.
  • Complies with safety and security directives, policies and procedures to ensure hosts/guests safety at all times.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Follows all safety standards including reporting any violations.
Education and Experience Required
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • May be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home state.
  • Must successfully complete a pre‑employment background check including motor vehicle and drug screen.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with guests, vendors, and employees.
  • Reflect Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly, caring, and taking pride in work.
  • Self‑motivated and disciplined, able to prioritize and complete work assignments timely.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information.
  • Committed to continuous improvement.

  • Dependable attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules, including overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • Perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests.
  • Flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Effective communication using approved methods.
  • Tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors.
  • Operate a company vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job – sit, stand, walk for periods; work in small, confined areas; push/pull; bend at waist and knees; lift up to 50 lb.
  • Memorize safety standards and scripted material.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age required for riding operators and motor‑vehicle activities.
