Host Transit Driver – Dollywood Theme Park – Seasonal
Host Transit Driver – Dollywood Theme Park – Seasonal with The Dollywood Company. Dollywood Parks & Resorts creates memories worth repeating across all properties in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
Responsibilities- Greets guests and initiates friendly interaction; provides excellent service, answers questions, and gives park information.
- Ensures Dollywood’s 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy is implemented during all interactions.
- Performs the role of Host Transit Driver, which includes:
- Transports hosts via shuttle/van safely and efficiently.
- Observes surroundings and other conveyances for potential safety hazards.
- Observes host actions to prevent safety hazards.
- Cleans and organizes conveyance daily to maintain a professional appearance.
- Communicates calmly, clearly, and positively with hosts aboard.
- Communicates safety rules and scripted park information consistently with Dollywood values.
- Maintains urgency to reduce host wait times.
- Completes daily written reports and submits paperwork to Transit PIC.
- Operates vehicles/work in all weather conditions.
- Uses time productively for sweeping, clearing cobwebs, straightening cones, etc.
- Assists with other parking areas as needed/requested by management.
- Wears and maintains a themed costume issued by Dollywood.
- Performs special projects as directed by management.
- Attends all required training classes and meetings.
- Complies with safety and security directives to ensure host/guest safety.
- React calmly and quickly in stressful/emergency situations; physically assists guests as required.
- Observes guest actions to prevent safety hazards.
- Initiates friendly interaction with guests.
- Works varying hours and areas when needed.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Follows all safety standards and reports violations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance.
- May be required to provide a copy of personal driving record from home state.
- No more than three traffic violations in the last three years.
- No DUI conviction in the past 15 years.
- Pass post‑offer physical that complies with DOT requirements.
- Successfully complete background check including motor vehicle and pre‑employment drug screen.
- Project Dollywood’s image by being genuinely friendly, caring, and proud of work.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
- Willing to continually improve.
- Smile, maintain eye contact, and be aggressively friendly.
- Polite, courteous, honest, dependable, mature, positive attitude, good judgment for sound decisions.
- Promote and support a team environment by cooperating with co‑workers.
- Adapt to changes easily.
- Sensitive to guest needs and empowered to meet them within company guidelines.

- Perform manual dexterity required for job duties.
- Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods.
- Work in a small, confined area; push or pull as required.
- Bend at waist and knees for long periods.

- Maintain good personal hygiene and report in a clean costume.
- Comprehend instructions and retain information.
- Learn additional ticketing system functions.
- React quickly in emergency situations; operate fire extinguisher.
- Tolerate detergents and chemicals.
- Work outdoors and tolerate fast‑paced environment and stress from job responsibilities.
- Memorize cash handling procedures.
- Willing to perform other work functions as assigned.
