• Location: Hermitage, TN 37076 (Nashville area healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – 34 beds (unit 630), 25 beds (unit 633)
• Scheduling: Self-scheduling; every other weekend required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530 - $1640

• Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience
• Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, insulin and heparin drips
• Peripheral IV skills
• Experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen, multiple oxygen delivery systems, and post-cardiac cath care
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system is a plus
• Ability to float between PCU units and med-surg floors as needed
• Black scrubs required

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to PCU patients (1:5–1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio at night)
• Administer and monitor cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips
• Assist with procedures: peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, NG/Dobhoff tube insertions
• Conduct hourly rounding during the day and every 2-hour rounding at night
• Utilize AIDET communication and maintain patient communication boards
• Collaborate with healthcare techs and unit secretaries for comprehensive patient care
• Troubleshoot wound vacs and perform central line dressing changes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork and support within the PCU nursing unit
