Description
University Physicians' Association, Inc. (UPA) is seeking qualified applicants for a PRN (as needed) Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) position in Oneida, TN.
ResponsibilitiesCandidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting physicians with patient care
- Scheduling
- Prior authorizations
- Obtaining pre‑certs for MRIs and CTs
- Communicating test results
- Phlebotomy
- Various other tasks as needed
This role also requires the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients, and their families while conveying a positive image of the practice.
Requirements- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate.
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
- Prior medical experience is required.
