Activity Aide Part Time

Position: Activity Aide

Status: Part‑Time

Department: Activities / Life Enrichment

Reports To: Activity Director

About the Role

We’re seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to support our Life Enrichment team. This role helps create and deliver meaningful programs that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well‑being of our residents. Professionalism and confidentiality are essential, as you will work closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activity programs for individuals and groups.

  • Support personalized activity plans based on resident interests, abilities, and care needs.

  • Escort and assist residents to and from activities safely.

  • Document participation and observations according to facility policy.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA and facility standards.

  • Set up, clean up, and maintain activity areas and supplies.

  • Participate in special events, outings, and holiday programs.

  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all residents.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience in long‑term care, recreation, or working with older adults preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to engage residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities.

  • Dependable, patient, and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
