Legal Employment Law II

POSITION OVERVIEW

Provide legal counsel and advice to the company and its subsidiary to ensure optimal business outcomes in accordance with federal, state and local employment laws.

• California license, preferred
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet specified deadlines
• Sound judgement and ability to quickly and effectively analyze situations and information

• Juris Doctorate degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and admission to the Bar plus twelve (12) years' experience as an attorney with at least one (1) year of Fed Ex Experience and three (3) years' of experience practicing in the employment law area
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws
• Excellent research, negotiation, communication, and human relations skills

• Juris Doctorate degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and appropriate admission to required state Bar plus ten (10) years' experience and demonstrated competence as a practicing attorney in the employment law area (both federal and state)
• Strong negotiation and human relations skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Juris Doctorate degree from an A.B.A. accredited law school and appropriate admission to required state Bar plus six (6) years' experience and demonstrated competence as a practicing attorney in the employment law area (both federal and state)
• Strong negotiation and human relations skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Fast-paced, deadline oriented
• Some travel required

While this position is eligible to work remotely if the successful candidate is located outside the Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR areas, the candidate must reside within 50 miles of a Fed Ex Freight location within the continental U.S.

If the successful candidate is located in the Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR areas, the candidate will be required to work a hybrid schedule, working three days per week in the office.
