ABOUT THE JOB

Domino's Pizza is hiring assistant managers. This is a leadership role that requires judgment, math and the ability to multitask. You will be responsible for ensuring that your shift runs smoothly and that team members perform their duties effectively.

• You are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control and customer relations.
• Set the example and follow all policies and procedures 100% of the time, and expect the same from your crew.
• Staffing, paperwork, cost controls, cash control, food management, adherence to schedules and standards, excellent customer service, attendance and punctuality.
• Maintenance of store cleanliness, marketing responsibilities and overall store profitability.
• Operate all equipment; stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler; prepare products; receive and process telephone orders; take inventory and complete related paperwork; and clean equipment and facility daily.
• Training and orientation provided on the job.

Many team members began as delivery drivers and progressed to franchise ownership or other leadership roles. Opportunities range from assistant manager to general manager, franchisee or Manager Corporate Operations.

• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility daily.

Orientation and training provided on the job.

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
• Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; motor coordination for rapid, precise movements.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the delivery area.
• Must navigate various delivery sites while carrying product.

• Varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
• In-store temperatures from 36 to 90+ degrees.
• Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk-in cooler; hot surfaces up to 500 degrees or higher; sharp edges and moving parts.
• Delivery-related conditions (driving and couponing).

• Talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid-range vision for in-store tasks; depth perception; hot/cold surface differentiation; far and night vision for driving.

Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, handle stress, meet quality standards, interact with people, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for most tasks; working on various surfaces; work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
• Walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds; carrying, pushing, climbing stairs or ladders as needed; stooping, bending, crouching, reaching and handling tools and ingredients.
• Delivery-related driving duties with a valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

• Deliver product within the designated delivery area and distribute flyers/door hangers as required.
• Requires valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
