Work Management Section Manager:Position Overview:
Position leads the Work Management function reporting to the Vice President of Operations. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls preventative and emergent mechanical and electronic maintenance actions, equipment calibration activities, construction of capital projects, plant facilities utilization, modernization, and upkeep. Maintain the core function of Work Control to integrate all work activities into the Erwin plant master schedule and retain ultimate control over work package generation and closeout including the development of lessons learned and continual process improvement.

Your Day to Day as a Work Management Section Manager:- Provide senior leadership and direction to assigned staff. Assist managers in problem solving, setting priorities, and resolving conflicts.
- Integrate and motivate personnel with varied functional responsibilities and develop coordination and cooperation within and between work groups to successfully meet company strategic objectives. Make decisions based on varied and often conflicting information, objectives, and opinions.
- Ensure activities are planned and executed to comply with procedural, regulatory, and union contract requirements. Establish program direction and tasks, set priorities, make assignments and follow-up to assure task objectives are met.
- Review and approve departmental cost and schedules. Monitor department spending and adjust spending levels as required to meet budget requirements.
- Motivate and influence personnel to achieve excellence in all program activities including safety and quality performance, procedural compliance, and cost/schedule control. Work with assigned managers to identify, develop, and implement actions to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Motivate and influence personnel to actively participate in program self-assessments and stretch for continual performance improvement. Work with assigned managers to promote team building and professional development.
- Implement other responsibilities as assigned by the President and General Manager.
- Participates as an effective member of the senior management team.
- Deliver quantifiable results in all areas of Work Management and Work Control.
B. S. Engineering or Engineering Technology;
Graduate degree preferred but not required plus over ten (10) years' experience. The incumbent should have a minimum 20 years' nuclear work experience with at least 10 years' management experience within the nuclear industry (either operations, maintenance or project management). Team leadership, initiative, and decision-making abilities acquired through experience are essential for success. Broad working knowledge of radiation protection, material control, and criticality safety required.
