Sr. Technician - Process
General
Summary:
Provide technical support by performing a wide variety of analyses required for control of product and process quality. Incumbent is also responsible for performing all quality assurance tests and procedures in a precise, accurate and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include:
Basic Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology or equivalent working experience. Also open to candidates with vocational training or technical certifications in mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation fields, especially those with hands-on experience in lab equipment maintenance or industrial troubleshooting. - Minimum one year laboratory experience associated with testing of the Kraft process or equivalent, three to five years preferred or experience in equipment troubleshooting, calibration, or maintenance in an industrial or lab setting.
- Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
- Must demonstrate knowledge of various lab equipment such as:
Atomic Absorption units, radioactivity gauges, titrators, and bomb calorimeters. - Must be familiar with and able to apply basic scientific principles to make observations, perform calculations, record results, develop conclusions and demonstrate good judgment in solving routine issues. Must be detail oriented and able to move between dissimilar tasks with ease.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to deal with changing priorities and work schedules while maintaining a professional attitude.
