Position summaryThis position is responsible for the loading of haul trucks in a safe, efficient, and acceptable manner while following all company quality guidelines and work procedures. The position is also responsible for the safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the load-out areas. All job duties are expected to be carried out as assigned in a timely and acceptable manner, while following all of the safety policies and procedures.
Inspect work area before entering, perform pre-shift inspection on loader, service and lubricate equipment, load all trucks in a quick and efficient manner, scrape haul ways and pick up rock that falls from trucks.
- Pre-shift equipment inspections to mine foreman
- Report any unsafe condition to a supervisor immediately
- Lubricate loader as required
- Maintain fluid level in loader
- Assist maintenance team members as directed
- Attend safety meetings
- Enforce all company, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures
- Maintain Company and Federal House Keeping Standards
- Implement all elements of the quality manual
- Maintain validity of documentation affecting the positions listed above
- Maintain the validity of all procedures affecting the positions listed above
- Back-up other loader operators as needed
- Be backed up by qualified personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned

- A desire to be as efficient as possible
- Access all areas within a site which could include heights of up to 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
- Work environment primarily in mining; some time in office environments
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils, and atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes, and mineral particles
- Stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, talk, see, hear, and sit as needed
- Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds
- Previous heavy manufacturing and/or mining experience is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to work any shift, be on call, overtime, and weekends
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Good attendance and safe working habits required
- Ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency to meet customer needs
- Previous heavy equipment experience is desired
- High School Diploma, GED Equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability
For this position, being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.

Watts Bar Estates, TN — $85,000.00–$90,000.00;
Emory Gap, TN — $85,000.00–$90,000.00.
