The Warehouse Operator is an individual contributor who supports the Small Parts department and reports to the Shift Supervisor. This position is responsible for accurate handling, movement, and documentation of materials and products within a manufacturing environment to ensure efficient production flow and inventory accuracy. The role uses computers, stationary and hand‑held equipment, responds to direct two‑way radio requests, and maintains good housekeeping and safety precautions.

• Move and document materials/products to maintain inventory accuracy
• Store and label physical steel inventory to maintain accuracy
• Interpret production and shipping orders to ensure proper material handling
• Perform inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Maintain and care for tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety practices
• Makes decisions regarding moving, receiving and storing material
• Prioritize workloads and resolve discrepancies
• Enter data and complete required reports in a timely fashion
• Assist when available for material staging
• Must have legible writing for communication on materials and BOLs (Bill of Lading)
• Daily crane inspections

• Knowledgeable with computers
• Entry in IFS system and match parts to paper documents
• Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping
• No direct reports; reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Follow material list to kit loads effectively
• Perform audits by comparing records with actual physical materials
• Perform random quality checks of parts entering the facility
• Work timely and promptly to deliver on‑time product without manufacturing errors
• Maintain all inventory for location accuracies including cycle counts
• Perform other duties as directed by leaders and management
• Actively participate in department safety and demonstrate excellent safety practices
• Become forklift certified for all on‑site lifts
• Daily forklift inspections and general maintenance of large forklifts
• Work 100% in an outdoor environment

• Proficient with computers
• Communicate problems or needs to departmental/shift supervision
• Basic math and legible written communication
• Pay attention to details and follow work instructions
• High safety awareness and ability to wear required PPE; work in non‑temperature controlled environment and outdoors
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand or walk 90% of workday; stoop 10%

• One (1) year of previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing/outside environment
• Experience in moving materials around a warehouse and/or storage yard
• Prior experience with computers in inventory management systems
