Polishing Operator

Location:

Smithville, TN

• Responsible for the proper polishing of the various parts.
• Employee deburrs by using hand grinders, polishers, and occasionally vibrating tumblers.
• Operate large swing grinders to grind and polish large parts.
• Parts normally weigh a few ounces up to 20lbs each.
• The employee performs quality checks of each finished part.
• Job is performed in a dusty environment.
• Read work orders and prints.
• Maintain and promote safety.
• Maintain proper condition of equipment.
• Perform quality checks and appearance checks of the finished unit or part.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Proficient reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, and bills of material.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work with others in a team environment.
• Able to lift 50LB, bend, stoop, twist, walk, and stand for extended periods.
