Production Operator – Georgia‑Pacific Gypsum

Location: Cumberland City, TN

Shift: 12‑hour rotating shifts, days and nights with weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.

Hours:

Days – 7 am to 7 pm;
Nights – 7 pm to 7 am.

Compensation: $21 per hour. Full medical and dental benefits, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, paid vacation, and paid floating holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure machines are set up properly and operate optimally.
• Troubleshoot and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Contribute to the site’s safety record by ensuring safe work practices.
• Perform basic asset care duties and routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals.
• Clean the work area throughout assigned shifts to keep an orderly and safe environment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lb), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for at least twelve 12‑hour days in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing required safety equipment.
• Be willing to work any shift; rotating 12‑hour shifts in varied industrial conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a production, warehouse, industrial, farming, construction, manufacturing, or military environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation in an industrial environment.
• Experience identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting quality issues.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment.
