Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Press Operator positions for a Manufacturing company in Morrison, TN. This is a Temp-to-Hire job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:
• Operate mechanical, hydraulic, and punch presses to form, stamp, bend, punch, and shape metal components
• Set up presses, dies, tooling, and fixtures according to production specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and production specifications
• Verify material type, thickness, dimensions, and other requirements before beginning production
• Adjust press settings and tooling to maintain quality and production requirements
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures
• Monitor equipment and identify unusual noises, vibration, defects, or other potential equipment issues
• Maintain production rates while meeting established quality standards
• Identify and correct common production issues and communicate equipment or tooling concerns to maintenance or supervision
• Assist with die changes, tooling changes, machine setup, and changeovers
• Complete required production, quality, and inspection documentation
• Safely handle metal materials and finished components
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures, including machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and required PPE
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and supervisory teams

Compensation (USD):$19.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift Monday - Friday7:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m.Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• 3+ years of experience operating metal presses in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with press setup, tooling, and die changes
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and work instructions
• Ability to use basic precision measuring equipment
• Strong understanding of metal forming and manufacturing processes
• Ability to identify defects and make appropriate machine or process adjustments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and lift
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery, metal materials, noise, and industrial equipment
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear
