Student and Missions Minister- Part Time

Location: Idlewild

The Student + Missions Minister for The Church at West End-Columbia (WEC) is responsible to thechurch, under the direction of the Groups + Administration Minister to develop, implement, and oversee acomprehensive disciple-making strategy of the Student Ministry (grades 6th–12th) and the overall missions ministry MARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

STUDENT MINISTRY:
• Work in conjunction with the WEC Next Generations Minister to contextualize and implement the Disciples Making Disciples (DxD) strategy for West End students. This will take place through the five buckets of gospel conversations, groups, going, gathering, and giving.
• Direct, lead, and oversee student ministry leaders, student ministry programming (Sun AM and Wed PM), catalyst events (both campus- specific and churchwide), oversee curriculum, and prepare experiences that are engaging, creative, and biblically applicable to students.
• Oversee the structures that support Student Ministry, including strategic goals, budgets, and reviewing Ministry Health Index stats for accuracy.

MISSIONS:
• Work in conjunction with the WEC Groups + Administration Minister to engage and equip the WEC congregation in going to serve our neighbors and the nations.
• Plan, organize, and implement strategic local service opportunities that utilize local partnerships and opportunities to mobilize the church to serve in and around Columbia.
• Plan, organize, and implement strategic mission journeys and help mobilize the church for participation locally, nationally, and internationally.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include but are not limited to the following:

Participate in cross-campus Mission Ministers and Next Gen / Student Ministers meetings and other opportunities for collaboration.

Provide oversight, accountability, and regular reporting for the budget related to all assigned  available to help with spiritual responses, mental health conversations, and/or congregational care needs.

Prioritize weekly WEC staff meetings, any All-Campus Ministry Team meetings, and the occasional Q Staff meeting.

Perform weddings & funerals as needed and serve in the Minister On-Call, on rotation and/or as needed.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
