Registered nurses provide and coordinate care for patients. The registered nurse collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities include assessments, individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, equipment maintenance, and communication of patient needs.

• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patient conditions while maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and appropriate care for patients of all ages.
• Promote hospital customer service initiatives.
• Utilize the nursing process for individual care, meeting patient needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures with proficiency.

• Current RN licensure by the TN Board of Nursing or a compact state nursing board.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Interventional (CPI) certification within 6 months of employment.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
