At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across all properties located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. We are seeking a Cook II who will embody our mission of creating memorable experiences, bringing families closer together, and caring deeply about our brand.
Responsibilities- Maintain proper cooking temperatures, hold times, and Safety Critical Checklists and Cooling Charts.
- Act as a quality‑assurance inspector, ensuring food is of high quality.
- Follow proper labeling, dating, and FIFO procedures.
- Adhere to recipes and portion control standards.
- Comply with state and local health department regulations and Culinary Services policies.
- Utilize the “Start Fresh” program when necessary.
- Present products to guests in a visually appealing manner through Plate Perfect.
- Use kitchen equipment safely (knives, slicers, ovens, smokers, grills, etc.).
- Minimize waste through small‑batch cooking and proper food handling.
- Maintain inventory levels accurately.
- Answer guest questions about park layout and menu items.
- Learn and apply the Culinary Services Check 5.
- Participate actively in safety and personal‑protection initiatives.
- Minimum age 16.
- Previous cook experience preferred.
- Must complete Serv Safe Manager Certification within 30 days of start date.
- Pass post‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Professional appearance, good personal hygiene, and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
- Team‑player who adapts to change and meets guest needs.
- Demonstrate Dollywood’s Lead with Love qualities: patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, honest, and committed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, stand, kneel, and work in varying temperatures (0–120 °F).
- Ability to tolerate heat, cold, humidity, detergents, and chemicals.
- Must undergo Start Fresh training and apply safety protocols.
- Commit to health regulations and company policies.
