Position Overview- The Carpenter for Projects will oversee and manage carpentry projects from start to finish. This role involves ensuring accurate installation and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage and support project teams.
- Ensure precise installation of project components according to specifications.
- Coordinate with the Plant Operations Manager to schedule installations and manage product shipments.
- Promote teamwork and provide adequate training to ensure successful project completion.
- Maintain inventory levels of construction supplies for each project.
- Verify compliance with plans and specifications.
- Enforce adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
- Observe and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform custom carpentry and related tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective team interactions.
- Ability to read and interpret production and customer blueprints.
- Willingness to wear company-provided uniforms and adhere to a professional appearance.
- At least 1 year of experience in carpentry, construction, or related hands‑on building work.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings or blueprints.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs+ routinely and work in outdoor/plant environments.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely (saws, drills, nail guns, measuring tools, etc.).
- Ability to stand, bend, and work on feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
- 3+ years of carpentry or construction experience, preferably in concrete, framing, formwork, or installation.
- Proven skill in custom carpentry
, fabrication, or installation work. - Strong understanding of construction tolerances, layout, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage small projects
, coordinate schedules, and ensure materials are ready. - Strong ability to interpret customer drawings, shop drawings, and cut sheets.
- Experience supporting or leading a crew in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in precast concrete
, form building, or concrete finishing. - Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
- Familiarity with construction inventory management or material tracking.
- Experience using measurement tools such as lasers, levels, and squares with high accuracy.
- OSHA 10 or other safety training (or willingness to obtain).
