Security Service Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Security Technician to service and support commercial security systems including access control, CCTV, and burglar alarms. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The technician will perform on-site and remote troubleshooting, repairs, and assist with installations to ensure systems meet client needs while maintaining high standards of reliability and quality.

• Service a variety of commercial access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems
• Provide timely and effective support to clients and their representatives
• Perform on-site repairs, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics
• Advise customers on upgrade needs and available options
• Train clients and end users on proper system usage
• Assist the installation team with programming and installation tasks as needed
• Maintain accurate service parts inventory on the company vehicle
• Communicate effectively with the Service Manager and support staff regarding service tickets
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency after-hours service
• Attend scheduled company meetings and training sessions

• Minimum 5 years of experience with access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
• Strong background in installation, programming, and troubleshooting of security systems
• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills
• Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
• Ability to pull, route, and suspend wire according to code
• Strong understanding of electrical, security, and safety codes
• Proficiency in safe use of hand and power tools

• Experience with brands such as Lenel, RS2, Client (Casi), DMP, DSC, Door King, Interlogic, Client, 2
  
  GIG, Exacq, S2, Speco, and Avigilon
• Certifications from the Electronic Security Association, including CST certification
