Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating an excavator and other heavy machinery to perform tasks such as digging trenches, loading trucks, and installing utilities. The operator will also be required to assist with manual tasks on site as needed.

• Operate an excavator to dig trenches, load trucks, and move utilities.
• Install utilities, including water lines, storm drains, and sewers.
• Operate a dozer for finishing or rough grading.
• Assist with manual tasks such as digging with a shovel, laying pipe, and moving materials on site.

• At least 1–2 years of experience operating an excavator.
• Experience in digging ditches and installing utilities, including water, storm drains, and sewer systems.
• Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, including excavators, dozers, and backhoes.

• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Experience with GPS and construction equipment operation.
• Experience operating a dozer is ideal, but not required.

This is a contract-to-hire position, offering the opportunity to transition to a permanent role after six months. The role provides a dynamic work environment with the potential to work on projects in different locations.

The position starts on a project in Pleasant View, TN, with the possibility of relocating to a site in Portland, TN. The work schedule typically ranges from 6 to 6:30 AM start times, with workdays lasting 10‑11 hours, depending on the schedule and time of year. Availability for Saturday work is required as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant View, TN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Pleasant View, TN.
