Double S Contractors is a small, locally based company in Taft, Tennessee, specializing in installing windows and exterior doors in newly constructed residential homes throughout North Alabama.

We work in a team setting and keep a steady, fairly fast pace while making sure everything is installed correctly. Most work is hands‑on, and we're looking for someone dependable who's willing to learn and work well with others.

• Install residential windows and exterior doors in newly constructed homes.
• Set windows into openings, secure them using screws and impact drills, and apply window tape.
• Carry and position windows and doors throughout job sites.
• Regularly use step ladders and occasionally extension ladders.
• Work on second-story roofs when necessary and perform installation work from upper‑story window openings.
• Use basic construction tools, including impact drills, levels, and screws.
• Work alongside other crew members to complete installations properly and efficiently.

New employees will generally start with simpler tasks, such as carrying windows to their openings, securing and taping windows, and helping install exterior doors. Additional responsibilities can be learned with experience.

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have reliable transportation to our business location in Taft, TN.
• Must be legally able to travel between Tennessee and Alabama for work.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous construction experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and at second-story heights.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry approximately 35–40 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Must communicate well and work cooperatively with other crew members.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Employees report to our business location in Taft, Tennessee, around 7:00 AM and ride together in a company work truck to the day's job sites.

• Monday–Friday:
  Normal workweek.
• Typical end time:
  Usually no later than 4:00–5:00 PM, although some days may finish earlier.
• Daily hours vary depending on the workload and job locations.
• Saturdays:
  Very rarely required, but occasional Saturday work may be requested.

• Typical gross pay is approximately $950 per week, for a full five-day workweek.
• Actual take-home pay may vary depending on individual tax with holdings.
• Pay depends on days worked, and missed days are generally unpaid.
• Longer workdays may qualify for additional bonus pay depending on hours worked and the job.

We're looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and comfortable with physical work. You don't have to know everything starting out, but you should be willing to learn, follow directions, and help the team get the job done right.
