Family Support Practitioner

Our client is seeking a nurturing and proactive Family Support Practitioner to provide comprehensive assistance to families in the East London area. This role focuses on empowering families to overcome challenges, strengthen relationships, and improve overall well-being. You will work directly with families, offering guidance, resources, and support in areas such as parenting skills, child development, and conflict resolution. • Conduct assessments of family needs and strengths to develop tailored support plans.
• Provide practical assistance and guidance on parenting techniques and child development.
• Facilitate family meetings and activities aimed at improving communication and relationships.

• Offer emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary.

• Diploma or degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or a related field.
• Previous experience in family support, child welfare, or community services.
• Knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, and family systems.
