Full-time, Part-time, Day-to-Day Supply & Long-term Placements Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about creating supportive, inclusive learning environments for young people across the Wirral? GAC Education is recruiting dedicated SEN TAs to work in mainstream primary and secondary schools, local authority Resourced Provisions, and dedicated specialist SEN settings across the Wirral peninsula. Whether you specialise in 1:1 support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or complex physical and learning difficulties, we offer flexible daily supply and structured long-term roles tailored to your preferences.

Key Responsibilities Providing 1:1, small group, and targeted classroom support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Assisting class teachers with adaptive learning materials, individualised support pathways, and sensory regulation strategies. Supporting pupils with non-verbal communication tools (such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC devices) where required. Maintaining a calm, safe, and encouraging environment that promotes independence, resilience, and wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements Proven experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new check).
