Maintenance Engineer

Location: St. Michaels

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. Backed by 10 years of hands-on maintenance experience , you will play a key role within the engineering team, driving equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and mentoring junior engineers. Key Duties Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of plant machinery and equipment Provide a rapid and effective response to breakdowns , minimising downtime Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Take ownership of more complex fault-finding and recurring issues , applying root cause analysis Support continuous improvement activities , including upgrades and process optimisation Work closely with production to ensure maximum machine performance and uptime Accurately log maintenance activity and ensure adherence to health & safety standards Contribute to improving maintenance processes, reliability, and asset performance About You 10 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across multiple disciplines Experience dealing with complex breakdowns and recurring faults Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team Flexible approach to working hours, including additional cover when required What's on Offer Healthcare cash plan Employee Assistance Programme Life assurance (4x salary) 6% employer pension contribution Annual profit share scheme Discounted gym membership  other lifestyle benefits If you're a seasoned Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge in a market leading manufacturer, apply today!
