Job Description
Evri Group is the UK’s premier parcel delivery business, uniting four distinct brands—Evri, Evri Premium, a network of DHL, UK Mail and Irish e-commerce specialist Coll-8—to deliver more than 1 billion parcels and letters annually across the UK and to over 200 global destinations. With 12,000 colleagues, 30,000 couriers and drivers, 8,000 vehicles, and a nationwide network of hubs, depots and fulfilment centres, we combine over 50 years of expertise with the scale and flexibility to support everyone from casual senders to SMEs and major retailers.
We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join the Gatwick Evri family that shares our passion and drive to delight our customers.
Are you a natural leader who thrives when the world sleeps? Take charge of a dedicated team and drive performance during the Night shift, which typically runs 4 nights out of 7 from 22:00 to 10:00, dependent on volumes.
Our Night Shift Supervisor position is for someone who can motivate staff and prioritise pressing needs where there isn’t an obvious solution. Lateral and original thinking would be a benefit, as would logistics experience, but we are open to experience gained in other related fields. You must be able to work collaboratively and take the lead on projects amongst your peers.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a team of up to 50 direct reports, providing leadership and direction for the shift.
- Develop and train reports and ensure SLAs are hit for the Night shift.
- Ensure compliance with all site HSE and regulations.
- Process BI and MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
Essential skills and experience required:
- Management experience of leading and managing a team.
- Experience of managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is a definite advantage.
- Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines.
- PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- An understanding of transport regulations is ideal.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
