Senior Siemens TIA Portal Engineer | Contract | Italy Edison Smart are working with a leading industrial automation software house on an exciting contract opportunity in Italy. The project involves the development and commissioning of advanced automated plant incorporating robotics and PLC-controlled machinery, with strong potential for ongoing work across subsequent plants.

Role Travel across Italy covering both development and commissioning phases

Work with robotics and PLC‑controlled machinery in an advanced manufacturing environment

Perform FAT and SAT across development and commissioning phases

Essential requirements
10+ years of PLC/controls engineering experience

Strong hands‑on Siemens TIA Portal programming skills

Fluent Italian speaker

Experience with FAT/SAT and machine commissioning

Right to work in Italy Desirable skills

Profinet / S7 1500

WinCC or HMI development

Safety PLC (TIA Safety / STEP 7 Safety)
Robotics integration
