Process & Improvement Engineer

About the role
In this role, you ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our installations by working closely with operational teams, technical specialists, and engineers. You play a key role in trouble shooting, optimizing processes, installation integrity, and process safety.

Responsibilities

Monitor operational performance of the terminal (throughput, energy usage, product quality, efficiency)

Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks, optimization, and by supporting debottlenecking projects.

Provide hands‑on support to operations staff in resolving operational disturbances.

Execute short‑term safety and operational actions originating from HAZOPs, audits and incidents.

Assist in commissioning new equipment or control modifications.

Maintain productive communication with maintenance, engineering, HSSEQ, and other service departments to optimize terminal performance.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Experience in Terminal Storage, (Petro)
Chemical Operations

Experience with project management and process improvement

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Fluent in English and Dutch

Structured, proactive, and practical way of working
