School Business Administrator Finance

Lead school financial operations at Bulkley Valley Christian School in Smithers, British Columbia, using accounting and business administration expertise. This 80% position supports both campuses.

The Business Administrator provides financial and operational oversight for BVCS’s K-12 and online learning campuses. Working with the principal, finance committee, administrative staff, and board, this position stewards resources supporting Christian education. Responsibilities span budgeting, accounting, reporting, payroll, compliance, and planning.

• Develop and monitor the annual operating budget collaboratively
• Oversee accounting, payroll, receivables, payables, and tuition collection
• Prepare financial statements and coordinate the annual audit
• Manage compliance, government reporting, and charitable donation receipting
• Advise the board through analysis and strategic planning

• Education or significant experience in accounting, finance, or business administration
• Strong financial management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Comfort collaborating with leadership, staff, and directors
• Integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and responsible stewardship
• Commitment to Christian education and active church involvement
