Join WSP as a Municipal Civil Engineer in Smithers, BC and help reshape communities through innovative civil engineering. Your expertise in municipal infrastructure and land development will be pivotal in enhancing vital services in the region.
As part of WSP's Infrastructure team, this experienced role focuses on designing sustainable water systems and municipal road projects. You will lead design efforts for water mains, storm sewers, and more, while managing projects from concept to construction. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, your work will ensure the delivery of integrated engineering solutions that support community growth and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design civil engineering solutions for essential infrastructure
• Manage projects through all phases from concept to construction
• Conduct field reviews and oversee contract administration
• Prepare technical reports and project proposals
• Foster relationships with public sector clients in northwest BC
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC
• Experience with civil design tools like Civil 3D
• Strong skills in contract administration and client management
