Perform heavy cleaning on-site as a full-time Janitor, using floor-care and sanitation skills at a remote camp. Travel is required.
ESS Canada seeks a Janitor to keep buildings clean, orderly, and safe for patients, visitors, and staff. The work includes floor stripping, waxing, carpet shampooing, surface sanitation, rubbish removal, and cleaning walls and glass. This position follows a 12-hour day shift with a 14-days-on, 14-days-off rotation. Travel and accommodations are provided.
Key Responsibilities:- Strip, scrub, buff, wax, and refinish floors
- Collect and dispose of trash using approved procedures
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures
- Sanitize surfaces and clean assigned areas thoroughly
- Move furniture and equipment for proper cleaning
- One year of housekeeping or custodian experience
- Two years of floor stripping and waxing experience
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to perform all job aspects
- Valid Class 5 licence and clean driver abstract
