NVIT is hiring multiple Term Instructors for its Health Care Assistant Clinicals, commencing in August 2026. Candidates should reflect a blend of teaching experience and nursing clinical background, particularly within Indigenous adult education. Applicants should be ready to teach core courses and contribute positively to the school's culture and community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct students in Clinical I & II and Community Practicum
• Foster a supportive learning environment for students
• Utilize Indigenous ways of knowing in curriculum design
• Participate in community engagements and faculty initiatives
• Stay current with nursing education standards
Requirements:
• RN, LPN, BScN, or MSN degree is necessary
• 3-5 years nursing experience required
• Valid BCCNM registration required
• Teaching experience with Indigenous adults preferred
• Knowledge of geriatric nursing is a plus
