Job Purpose

The Field QA/QC Level 2 Inspector supports the execution of quality control activities for construction, maintenance, and turnaround scopes at the LNG Canada (LNGC) Site in Kitimat, BC. The role ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and project requirements through inspection, verification, and documentation of work activities, including weld inspections, flange management, material receiving inspections, and turnover documentation, while providing continuous quality oversight and supporting the safe and efficient execution of work on site.

• Support implementation of project quality requirements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Field Packages.
• Maintain continuous quality control coverage for maintenance, turnaround, and construction activities.
• Perform field inspections to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and client requirements.
• Support welding inspection activities, NDE coordination, flange management, and receiving material inspections.
• Verify material traceability, documentation, and quality records to support turnover requirements.
• Identify, document, and assist in resolving quality issues through NCRs, RFIs, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records, and turnover packages.
• Collaborate with supervision, trades, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing rework, improving efficiency, and strengthening quality performance.

• Certification as a CSA W178.2 Level II Welding Inspector with a current visual acuity record (required).
• Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and project specifications, including CSA W59, CSA W47.1, and ASME B31.3.
