Co-op Student in Assurance & Accounting

Become a part of MNP's dynamic Assurance & Accounting team as a Co-op Student. This role allows you to enhance technical expertise while contributing to client success in a rapidly changing financial environment.

As a Co-op Student, you will gain hands-on experience while pursuing a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration, ideally in accounting or finance. Responsibilities include developing knowledge of IFRS and GAAP, managing client files, and preparing crucial financial statements. You'll also collaborate with the client engagement team to foster valuable relationships and improve work processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical skills in auditing, bookkeeping, and tax

• Manage multiple client files and conduct inventory counts

• Prepare balance sheets and profit & loss statements

• Review and correct discrepancies in financial documents

• Collaborate with the client engagement team and contribute new ideas

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration

• Prerequisites for CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)

• Previous accounting office experience is a plus

• Customer service experience is an asset

• Experience with accounting software is advantageous
