Practical Nursing Program Instructor - On Call - Terrace, Smithers, Prince Rupert

Coast Mountain College invites applications for the on‑call Instructor in the Practical Nursing program. The appointment will commence as soon as possible
. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor Scale, ranging from $36.46 to $49.38 per hour.

This position will contribute to the academic success of students in the Practical Nursing and occasionally the Access to Practical Nursing programs. Responsibilities include course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction.

• Current BC registration as an LPN, RN, or RPN
• 3 – 5 years of recent and relevant practice experience, including clinical experience
• Additional post‑secondary education or experience in teaching (e.g., a Master’s in Adult Education, a Provincial Teaching Certificate, a Provincial Instructor’s Diploma) is an asset
• Clinical instructors must meet clinical practice requirements: current CPR certification and up‑to‑date immunizations (particularly the COVID‑19 vaccination)
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for the characteristics of our strategic plan (adventurous, transformative, and integrity) with the ability to apply them to teaching
