Position: 0.2 FTE Permanent Literacy Lead

Position Description

The role requires a strong understanding and implementation of the following Ministry documents:

  • Learning for All
  • Indigenous, Metis, Inuit Framework
  • Growing Success (Assessment)
  • Ontario Language Curriculum
Position Qualifications
  • Current member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers – Primary/Junior/Intermediate Qualifications
  • AQ – Reading Specialist – Early Years Focus
  • AQ – Special Education Part 1
  • 3-5 years of teaching, leadership and academic coaching experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Assistive Technology & Google Apps for Education
Required Documents
  • Cover letter and resume highlighting qualifications and experience
  • Copy of Ontario College of Teachers – Certification of Qualification
  • Most recent LTO evaluation or most recent appraisal (if available)
  • At least three references, including the most recent reference and email addresses
Additional Requirements
  • Successful completion of all Safety training courses
  • Successful vulnerable sector check
  • Extensive travel throughout the Board and provincially
