Position: Infrastructure Environmental Technician Role
Hatfield is looking for an Infrastructure Environmental Technician to join our team in Terrace, BC. This field position involves monitoring, compliance, and teamwork to support environmental initiatives and construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of environmental monitoring experience, a relevant diploma or degree, and a strong background in regulatory compliance. You will play a critical role in project planning and execution, ensuring environmental standards are met through effective communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field activities like monitoring water quality

• Assist in planning and implementing environmental projects

• Prepare required compliance documentation for approvals

• Collaborate with project teams to implement management strategies

• Issue stop-work orders to uphold environmental protections

Requirements:

• At least two years of relevant monitoring experience

• Appropriate qualifications for work in BC’s environmental sector

• Experience with marine mammal observation and data collection

• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and guidelines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
