Position: Area Forester Job Opening BC
Contribute to the future of forestry as an Area Forester in Terrace, British Columbia, with a salary of $90,000 to $110,000 CAD per year. Engage deeply in logging and permit management initiatives.

In this full-time role, you will prepare and uphold the Annual Logging Plan and manage permit development, ensuring that all processes comply with forestry regulations. Your ability to guide contractors and manage log quality will be crucial, and you will participate in frequent production meetings with senior management to align on business objectives. Effective communication is vital as you interact with various stakeholders and oversee multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and uphold logging and permit development strategies

• Supervise operations including logging and road construction

• Conduct inspections to ensure quality and compliance

• Work with authorities to expedite permit approvals

• Analyze contractor safety compliance and production data

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Forestry

• Two-plus years in forestry or a related natural resources field

• Professional Forester or Forester in Training designation

• Strong organizational and flexible approach

• In-depth knowledge of BC Forestry legislation
