Hope Street Activity Aide

Support and engage residents at Hope Street Terrace as a Part-Time Activity Aide located in Port Hope, ON. Create memorable experiences through well-planned activities.

In this role, you will be integral to residents' daily joy by implementing and assessing recreational programs designed for individual needs. You'll ensure a safe and clean environment while fostering positive interactions among residents. Reporting pertinent changes to the nursing staff is vital for this position, with oversight from the Programs Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individual and group activation programs

• Set up and clean program areas for residents

• Monitor resident behavior and communicate changes

• Maintain records for programs and resident participation

• Work together with other departments to fulfill resident needs

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in recreation or related area

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Proven experience in activity planning for diverse resident needs

• Ability to work independently and manage time well

• Background in geriatric care desirable
