Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to fill a PT position at the Ksyen Regional Hospital.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments for various areas of the hospital; and performs related clerical duties and record keeping.

Shift

Rotation/Hours of work:

Days, Evenings, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:00 to 16:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 11:00 to 19:00 (rotating)

Qualfications
  • Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized Medical Device Reprocessing course, plus one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to communicate and deal effectively with others.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
